Danish super middleweight Fawaz Nasir made a successful
return to the ring on Friday June 19, after almost a year out
with injuries, when he dominated Latvian Ruslans Pojonisevs
in Horsens, Denmark.
The fight, on the undercard of Kim Poulsen vs. Obote Ameme, was
aired live on TV2 Sport in Denmark, and promoted by Henrik Risum
who handles Nasir in cooperation with Fight Production.
Nasir came out strong and controlled the aggressive Pojonisevs
with his jab, and mixing it up nicely with hard body-shots and
straight right hands. The Latvian went down in round two and
three, both times from hooks to the body, but gamely made it to
his feet on each occasion, and was still standing after the
final bell.
