female featherweight Damaris Muthoni,
back home in Nairobi after her valiant fight in
Germany with now-‘world’ champion Ina Menzer,
aims to get back in a double pack before she
plans another title assault in Germany in 2006.

Production promotes its only women boxer,
in cooperation with Risum Boxing of
Denmark and local partner-cum-heavyweight
Joseph Akhasamba, at the Pal Pal Gym in
Nairobi, where Muthoni is scheduled to
clash over six rounds with Ugandan Nantondo
Mulinde.

Not
much is known of the girl from Kampala, but
“Damaris simply must beat all local opposition
if her dream of becoming a champion is to be
taken serious,” says manager Olaf Schroeder.
After
that, Muthoni, 6-3-2 (2 KO’s), shall appear in
December, again in her hometown of Nairobi, when
Fight Production and their partners team up with
local promoter Franklyn Imbenzi to stage a huge
‘Xmas Bang’ promotion with several title
bouts.
“I
expect Damaris to win both fights – that’s
her ticket back to Germany and back to title
fights!” said Schroeder, of Fight Production.
